Solidarity with the Iranian People

The NDP Association of NDG-Westmount expresses its solidarity with the Iranian people.

For several weeks the Iranians, and in particular the Iranian women, have been demonstrating without rest against the dictatorship in their country. Following the death of Mahsa Amini, arrested by the morality police for wearing inappropriate clothes, women and also men throughout the country are rising up to demand an end to the oppressive and corrupt regime that governs them.

Despite fierce repression, their determination and courage commands admiration.

The NDP Association of NDG-Westmount wants to express its support for the Iranian people as well as for all residents of our constituency who have relatives in Iran.
